Banner WeAreDiverse: United States, National Native American Heritage Month

Not only our projects follow our Equality, Diversity and Inclusion policy; we like to keep our staff involved too.
November 2016 marked the National Native American Heritage Month in the US, for which our offices in New York and Washington DC participated in a series of group and self-study activities to help our staff learn more about Native American heritage, identity, culture and challenges. Native American themed books were read, films were presented, visits to museums organized and traditional food was cooked!

Native Americans make up less than 1% of the US population, taking part in these activities helped our team learn more about Native American heritage in order to contextualize the Western Shoshone communities where we deliver the Active Citizens programme to.
