Research showed that the Colombian and Caribbean cultural sector have important gaps related to scarcity of technical skills, particularly in the fields of Live Music and Festivals Management. This programme marks the start of our sustained effort to support the development of skills for the country’s cultural sector.

BTFCaribbean promotes the UK as a lead and strategic partner that wants to continue its work and collaboration within Colombia and the Caribbean, reinforcing British Council’s position as a leader in cultural skills provision in identified countries in the Americas. As a result, we have secured partnerships with local government and NGO's to continue expanding the programme in the region.
